UIG can design a TV solution tailored for hospitals, aged care facilities or retirement villages regardless of size being applicable to both retrofit of existing facilities or new construction.
UIG can deliver TV systems (RF and IP) over copper, coaxial or TV systems over fibre (with the use of TV systems equipment by leading brands such as; Fracaro, IPTV Australiasia and Ikusi).
UIG are the Australia wide installer and maintainer of the unique Web2TV service.
Web2TV makes use of recent advances in technology to deliver an extra channel to TV networks within Retirement Villages & Aged Care Facilities. This channel is viewable on all televisions connected to the MATV system within the facility.
By adding a Web2TV channel to the TV network in your facility, you'll be able to entertain residents with a specialist "radio" service designed specifically for those aged between 70 and 90. This "radio" service (delivered via TV), is provided in partnership with the Australian online "Aged Care Radio".
The radio content is a mix of live commentary and music specially selected from the post war era of the late 1940's through to the early 70's. The Aged Care Radio is delivered by a team of seven "senior" presenters each with decades of experience in professional radio.
Each facility running a Web2TV system also has the ability to maintain a notice board of events specific to the facility. These notices are displayed on the Web2TV channel and are scheduled and updated through an easy to use web site by facility staff.
Highlights include:
-Notice Board services informing residents of daily activities, visiting health services, kitchen menus and details of special events.
-Community Messaging Service where friends, family and the community can email in messages and photos direct to residents TV sets.
-Aged Care Radio a dedicated "old style" radio station specifically for the senior members of our community. See www.agedcareradio.com.au for further information.
-Web Content: The system has the potential to deliver web content directly to residents TV sets with Podcasts, Local News Headlines, and Games are all currently in development.
